6 Advanced Pinterest Tips For Bloggers That Actually Work

Below are some of the most advanced Pinterest tips and strategies that no one wants you to know about. By actually using these tips and techniques, you will start to see some results as fast as possible.

1. Group boards

Now you might already know about the power of pinning to group boards but did you know that some group boards can actually hurt your Pinterest account more than do good?

Look at this from an SEO perspective, group boards that are not related to your topic will get you banned or tip off Pinterest bots.

Many group boards on Pinterest are filled with Spammy links and are built simply for the purpose to sell invites, these boards can be found on fiverr where you can pay a small fee depending on how many followers the board has. These types of boards can be spotted from miles away, they are usually filled with unrelated pins from every category you can think off.

Stay away from them!

2. Commenting

This is actually one of the best ways to rank a pin on Pinterest, By getting comments on your pins, it tells Pinterest that people are very interest in the pin and that they should show it to more people.

Now you can pay for comments from sites like fiverr but just make sure that the comments are relevant to the topic and that the commenter has a legit looking profile.

The other method of generating comments on your pins are using Facebook groups and actually building your own Pinterest profiles to use for commenting. This is what I do and it works like a charm.

3. Crosspinning

Crosspinning is a lot like building your own network of Pinterest profiles to use to cross pin your pins to your other profiles to build backlinks for them which will push them up on Pinterest search.

This works well if you have boards relevant to the topic of the pin. Either way, I urge you to build at least 10 Pinterest profiles to use for your money profile or your main account.

4. Facebook groups

There are a lot of Pinterest groups on Facebook that are used by thousands of Pinterest users to promote each other’s pin.

These groups are pretty easy to find by typing into Facebook search “Pinterest groups” I am currently a member of a few.

Now what happens when you join these groups? Well you find likeminded people who want to help promote each other pins on Pinterest.

It is a lot like tailwind tribes but here, you can actually get people to comment on your pins, repin your pins and get invited to group boards.

You also have to do the same for them as well.

5. Building backlinks

Building backlinks to your Pinterest profile is a great way to tell Pinterest that your account is legit and that they should take whatever you have to say seriously.

Some of the best ways to do this is by adding your Pinterest profile links to your other social media accounts.

Creating instagram, Facebook page, Google plus page, YouTube channel and Twitter pages that all link back to your Pinterest account is a great way to get some high quality backlinks to your Pinterest profile.

6. Scheduling

Last but certainly not least, use tailwind to schedule your pins to go out at specific times when your audience are actually active on Pinterest.

Tailwind has a free plan that you can use yo schedule up to a hundred pins per month so why not take advance of it?

Note; The link above is a referal link!

Bonus; Tailwind tribes

So tailwind just put out this cool feature called tailwind tribes, it is a lot like Facebook group boards where members of the tribe repins eachothers pins.
