5 Places To Find Awesome And Trending Blog Topics
Successful bloggers know that to have a great blog, you need to do a lot of research, as boring as that sounds, there are tons of ways to actually enjoy researching blog topics and you would be surprised at some of the weird and crazy things people search and write about online.
Using Google Trends To Find Blog Topics
A lot of you might already know about google trends for getting trending topics to blog about but for those of you who are new to this whole blogging thing, google trends is a goldmine for finding trending terms that people are searching for in your niche.
Now some may argue that using google trends for blog topics is not a smart move because trending searches on particular topics tend to die down after a certain time but I beg to differ. You see, there are ways to predict if a certain topic will be trending for months or even years to come on google trends, you just have to know where to look!
Go to google trends and type in your keyword into the blue search bar at the top that says “explore” now hit search and a similar page like the one below will open up. I searched for “blogging”
Now, this graph shows you that the term has been searched for consistently with no major dips for the past 12 months, what this means is that the keyword “blogging” is an evergreen phrase. Now scroll down further and you should have similar results like the one below:
I don’t know if you can see it but this graph shows you “related topics” in the blogging niche and “related queries” under related queries, there are keywords that people are actually searching for. By clicking on any of them, you would be able to see how well that particular term has been doing within the last 12 months:
I selected the keywords “how to make money blogging 2017” and this is what came up. What you see here are ups and downs meaning that this keyword tends to go on a dip but always finds its way back up.
Now by using your mouse, you would be able to pinpoint specific times of the year when people are not searching for these terms. I checked and guess what, the dips represented national holidays and seasonal breaks.
So what does all this blabbering mean? well simply put, you can use this method to determine if a particular keyword or phrase is evergreen and worth your time. If a keyword has been on a downward trail for the past 12 months then you know it’s not worth it!

Listverse is a popular site that gets millions of visitors each and every single month 3 million to be exact, that is because people love to read list post about hot topics like top ten richest people in the world or the ten most ugliest women to ever walk the planet and sometimes, the 10 best ways to fart in public! ( I never fart in public just in case you were wondering)
Whatever your niche is, I am sure you will find something for you on listverse because they have content in literally every category you can think of. Just find a post that has gotten a lot of shares and try to create a similar one but please make it your own!

You see google features curated news from other huge news outlets from all around the world, their overpaid team of experts choose the ones that they think people would enjoy reading.
