For many bloggers, increasing traffic to their blogs is not the only goal. Every blogger (myself included) wants to keep their visitors coming back for more. Below are 3 key ways to keep visitors coming back To Your Blog like clockwork.
3 Key Ways To Keep Visitors Coming back to your blog
Blogging is huge, it’s one of the easiest ways to generate passive income online. There are tons of bloggers out there making hundreds of thousands of dollars each month (My goal) but it is also a really competitive business model, therefore, finding ways to stay on top of the game is your only option!
Update Your Blog:
The easiest way to keep visitors coming back to your blog is to update your blog on a regular basis with quality content. Readers will stay loyal to blogs that are updated daily. Your readers will tend to lose interest in your writing if they have to wait several days for new content.
Be loyal to your readers and they will be loyal to you, another reason why you need to update your blog regularly is because there are millions of other blogs out there so competition is fierce!
Keep Your Audience Entertained
Another fun way to keep your audience interested in what you have to say is by being different from everyone else on the block! Be original and entertaining, it has been proven time and again that humor can move mountains and break glaciers (lol..don’t know where that came from) but you get the picture.
Using quotes, memes and funny jokes within your post are some of the ways to add humor to your blog, gifs, trivia games and polls are also huge but don’t go overboard, 2 or 3 max within a single post will do the trick. Remember, too much of anything is a mess!
Participate In Social Media Groups:
Participating in blogging groups on facebook, google plus communities or discussion forums and mentioning your blog whenever possible will help keep readers coming back to your site. This also helps get new eyes to your content as well.
Just remember that with using social media to promote your blog, you must engage with other users and only share your content in groups or communities that are related to your niche. Some of the facebook groups I recommend are:
Understand Your Readers:
Another great way to keep your readers coming back for more is to understand who reads your blog and write content that is directed towards them. This does not mean that you have to write on only one particular subject, though.
If you are a stay at home mom and write about your life at home with the kids, your loyal readers will hate you if you suddenly start going off topic and start acting like my “hero” Donald Trump cursing Kim Jong Un on Twitter in all his glory! They decided to makeup below!
If you generally write humor, do not bog your readers down with sorrowful woes and tales. Your readers will be interested in the things that attracted them to your site in the first place.
